本片为张彻导演，拍于1977年，故事以第二次世界大战日军侵占上海为背景，由狄龙、傅声、姜戴维、刘永、戚冠军及施思六大巨星领衔主演。剧情描述，中国海军力量薄弱，仅有三艘军舰停泊在江阴，难以跟日舰抗衡；为保存战力，参谋部决定暂不与日舰正面作战，而在长江布下水雷，以阻遏敌军内进，另方面特拟出一个进攻计划，将一艘鱼雷快艇伪装成渔船，乘夜驶进上海外滩，企图施以突袭……。刑警高政赫（徐俊英饰）几乎没有安宁的一天，处理不完的案件、还有衝动性格造成的纷争，每天都像战争一样。但他最大心愿将仁川唐人街的老大-宋社长（元振饰）绳之以法，虽有线报逐渐掌握了宋社长的行踪，却因屡遭中国黑社会从中作梗，原来中国黑帮老大关时沛为了掌控唐人街，已派人暗杀宋社长。政赫求助他的武术老师穆驰寻找宋社长，却意外将他置于险境。只有一把枪的政赫，为师复仇，为正义而战，与黑帮展开一场生死决斗！。Inspired by the true life stories of a group of characters battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s.
