叙述的是明万历四十三年凉秋，云贵总督卓仲廉卸任归故乡陕北，途经川陕边境时被劫富济贫的绿林女大盗“玉罗刹”练霓裳劫去大部分财产。随行护送的武当弟子耿绍南，因傲慢不逊被削去左手二指，以示惩戒，练霓裳自此与武当派结怨。百姓反抗政府，下属背叛上级，奸佞出卖国家，反抗与自由的精神交织在一起，就是那个时代的精神。。在接受了关于不良行为的可怕教训后，三个不守规矩的六岁孩子开始了一场混乱的追求，寻求最终的“善行”，处处引发混乱。。A strange man comes into a house with only the wife.
