朱元璋（鲍国安饰）垂暮之年，太子朱标体弱多病，为冲喜，将开国元勋徐达的次女徐妙云（俞飞鸿饰）嫁与朱标，不料新婚之夜，太子即逝，太子妃刚成新娘即成新寡。朱元璋四子燕王朱棣（申军谊饰）乃徐妙云的姐夫，文武皆备，朱元璋欲立朱棣为皇储，遭群臣反对，最终立皇孙朱允炆（高虎饰）为皇储。朱棣和朱允炆都暗恋徐妙云。徐妙云只是对朱棣情有独钟。 朱元璋驾崩，朱允炆即位，对二十五位雄踞全国各地当藩王的皇叔厉行削藩。燕王揭竿而起，经三年多“靖难之役”，从北平打到南京，围攻京城，建文帝朱允炆与徐妙云从皇宫的鬼门逃出城外，朱棣荣登皇位，对建文帝数年追杀。徐妙云同时爱恋着朱棣和朱允炆，京城被围前后，与两位同是大明天子的男人阴差阳错地各有“一夜风流”，半个多月后，徐妙云在与建文帝逃难途中，发现自己已有身孕，但因同时与两位天子有染，竟然难以自辩所怀身孕是哪位天子的骨肉。爱与恨、情与仇...。St. Jude Square is a neighborhood living in fear and despair. The dueling gangs of local kingpins Dash and Antuan terrorize the streets and the citizens live without a shred of hope... until mysterious stranger Ryan Hong (Cung Le) arrives in town. He begins to play one gang against the other using his unparalleled martial arts skills, and by calling on the teachings of his brilliant mentor Tiano (Jean-Claude Van Damme) to find the strength to battle back. However, just as he begins to bring the community under control, Hong is confronted by Mr. V, the town's ruthless and corrupt police chief.
