高中少女桂木万里（原田知世 饰）5岁时，父亲（高桥幸宏 饰）曾向她描述一个美丽南太平洋小岛新喀里多尼亚，那是一个离天国最近的地方，当地的人民安居乐业，无忧无虑，宛如生活在仙境一般。 父亲去世后，万里念念不忘与父亲共赴新喀里多尼亚的约定。她向母亲（松尾嘉代 饰）告别，独自踏上前往澳洲的旅程。几天的行程下来，万里发现新喀里多尼亚并非心中的那个小岛。之后他随假导游深谷有一（峰岸徹 饰）游历了伊尔德班；随第三代日本青年渡边太郎（高柳良一 饰）探访了乌维亚岛，但似乎都与父亲口中“离天国最近的小岛”相差甚远。万里留在这里的时间也越来越短…… 本片根据森村桂同名小说改编。。Alive and Kicking gives the audience an intimate, insider's view into the culture of the current swing dance world while shedding light on issues facing modern society.。Set between Hong Kong, London and Frankfurt, this is the intimate portrait of five women working in the highest spheres of finance.
