The end of each episode features a white van swerving to avoid a pedestrian and crashing into a garden wall. ...。传说在五代十国时期，后唐皇帝李从珂临死之时把最为宠爱的常贵妃交给心腹吴宝德，秘密带出宫廷逃亡，石敬瑭为了斩草除根派出杀手一路追杀俩人。俩人一路逃亡至湖北恩施州县内，却被追杀而来的杀手截住，吴宝德拼死一战，终于保全了俩人的性命。
常贵妃十分的不甘心，时刻想着复仇大计，于是和吴宝德四处收集财富，笼络人才，等待时机。没想到，常贵妃身染重病，命不久矣，于是吩咐吴宝德效仿始皇帝修建大墓，将所得之财富埋藏其中，设下重重机关，临死之际，更是命令吴宝德立下毒誓，让其世代守护大墓。。
