A beautiful young woman in the South of France is stalked by, then raped by, a mysterious masked assailant. She shoots him dead soon afterwards and dumps his corpse in the sea. Later, an American investigator turns up, and to her horror he seems to know everything about what she has done......。《姐姐》是一部以“心灵的洗礼和觉醒”为主题的电影，于2004年开始拍摄。影片讲述了一个在富足家境中长大的城市小孩，在随父亲乡下探亲的过程中，认识了隔壁邻居沉默寡言“姐姐”，从开始调皮捉弄她，到逐渐了解她被她所生活的贫困环境所震惊，内心接受的一场洗礼，孩童善良的本质逐渐展现。影片运用了大量的长镜头，是一部很抒情的作品，在马来西亚、新加坡、泰国等国家先后上映，获得了广泛好评。也是在这部作品中，奠定了谢家良导演作品的温情主题，并在以后的作品中延续下去。。
