陆芸与弟弟陆鸣海自幼失散，四十年后，陆鸣海成南省首富仍寻姐，陆芸曾是金融女王，退休后送快递与养女陆琳琳相伴。陆琳琳认回生母杨芳后抛弃陆芸，陆鸣海查到线索欲在生日宴相认却遭质疑。宴上林家妄图吞并陆家，被陆芸挫败，最终她回归陆家，姐弟团聚。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
